Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc: Full One-Day Route + Grand World
If you are vacationing on Phu Quoc Island and want to see one of the most interesting places on the island, make sure to set aside a full day for Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc. This is the largest safari park in Vietnam, where you can see giraffes, rhinos, tigers, lions, zebras, elephants, bears, and dozens of other animals. The park is located in the northern part of the island and combines perfectly with an evening walk around Grand World Phu Quoc.

We visited the park in May 2026 and will share the best route for visiting it, as well as what else you can see in this part of the island.
If you need a complete itinerary for Phu Quoc or Vietnam, use our travel route planning website for any city or country. It is very convenient: just tell us where you are going and for how many days, and we will do everything else.
Where Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is located
Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is located in the Ganh Dau area in the north of the island:
https://maps.google.com/?q=Vinpearl+Safari+Phu+Quoc

From the central part of the island, the road takes about 35–45 minutes. We got there by taxi. You can order one through the InDrive or Grab apps: just choose cash and pay in cash after the ride. The trip costs about 400,000 VND, which is around 20$ one way.
Where to buy tickets
The easiest and cheapest way is to buy tickets in advance through Trip.com. By the way, if you book through this website, you can get an additional discount on your first booking. To do this, register using my link https://ru.trip.com/sale/4283/referee.html?locale=ru-RU&referCode=VXLNR6 or use the promo code VXLNR6 during registration.
Important: it is better to buy tickets at least one day before your visit. When buying, you will see several options:
- standard ticket;
- ticket with lunch;
- ticket with unlimited use of trams inside the park;
- combined options.
We bought a ticket with lunch and tram access (50$ per person) and consider this the most convenient option. I think a fast-track ticket is not really necessary, even during the season.
What time to arrive
It is best to arrive right at opening time, around 09:00. The safari starts at 09:30, and the park itself is open until 16:00. In the morning, the animals are the most active, and the temperature is still comfortable for walking. There are also significantly fewer visitors in the morning.
Usually, 3–4 hours are enough to visit the whole complex. After noon, it gets much hotter, so it is better to spend the rest of the day at other locations in northern Phu Quoc.
What to do first
Many tourists start with the zoo and only then go on the safari ride. We recommend doing the opposite.
After entering the park, simply follow the main path almost to the very end of the area. That is where the safari bus boarding zone is located:

If you bought a ticket with access to the internal trams, you need to get a special wristband near the entrance. After that, you can use transportation inside the park throughout the day.
Boarding tip
The best seats are by the window, but if the window seats are already taken, stand at the front of the queue and take seats near the driver. The view there is also excellent.
The safari takes place in a closed bus that drives through large open areas where animals move freely around the territory. During the ride, you can see rhinos, tigers, lions, giraffes, zebras, bears, and many other animals.
If you enjoy the ride, you can usually repeat it again — there are normally no strict limits.
Exploring the zoo
After the safari, start walking around the main area of the park. The zoo is organized quite conveniently. The main route goes in a large loop, with several paths branching off toward the central part of the park.
There are signs almost everywhere, so it is difficult to get lost.

Inside the park, you can see:
- flamingos;
- lemurs;
- various primates;
- big cats;
- rare birds;
- reptiles.
The territory is large, so in hot weather it is convenient to use the internal trams that run between the main zones of the park.
Where to have lunch
If you buy a ticket with lunch, check the voucher in advance for the list of restaurants included in the program. We had lunch at Giraffe Restaurant:
https://maps.google.com/?q=Giraffe+Restaurant+Vinpearl+Safari
Our ticket included a food deposit of 150,000 VND per person. You can order any dish from the menu for this amount. If the order costs more, you simply pay the difference.
The main feature of the restaurant is the giraffes, which come almost right up to the visitors. If you want, you can buy food separately and feed the animals.
Prices inside the park are quite reasonable for a tourist location. You can calmly buy water, coffee, ice cream, or a cocktail without feeling like you are being overcharged.
How much time to plan for the visit
For a comfortable visit, about 3–4 hours is enough.
This is enough time to:
- ride the safari bus;
- see all the zoo zones;
- feed the animals;
- have lunch;
- visit a show.
It is better to choose a cloudy or overcast day. There is not much shade in the open areas, so in sunny weather it gets quite hot after lunch.
Continue the day at Grand World Phu Quoc
After visiting the safari, we recommend not going straight back to your hotel, but continuing the day at Grand World Phu Quoc:
https://maps.google.com/?q=Grand+World+Phu+Quoc

It is only a few minutes by taxi from the safari to Grand World, but at this time it will still be hot. So you can go for a massage, have coffee, rest in an air-conditioned place, calmly wait out the hottest hours, and then start exploring Grand World.
Venice on Phu Quoc and the gondola ride
The main attraction of Grand World is the canal with bright buildings, often called “Vietnamese Venice”.
You can ride a gondola here. We bought tickets through Trip.com. The cost was about 10$ for two people. But honestly, the attraction itself did not impress us much. We also had to stand in line for about 30 minutes, even though we visited the island in May, which is considered low season.
If you do not have much time, you can easily skip the gondola ride and simply walk along the canal.

Evening walk around Grand World
Closer to the evening, Grand World becomes much more comfortable.
At this time you can:
- walk along the canals;
- take beautiful photos;
- have dinner;
- see the evening lights;
- watch free shows and performances.
This part of Phu Quoc looks most impressive in the evening.
Final one-day route
09:00 — arrival at Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc
09:30–10:00 — safari bus ride
10:00–12:00 — walk around the zoo
12:00–13:00 — lunch at Giraffe Restaurant or another restaurant of your choice, but this is the most atmospheric café
13:30–15:00 — massage, ice cream, and rest at Grand World
15:00–18:00 — walk around Grand World
18:00–20:00 — dinner and evening lights

If you only have a few days on Phu Quoc, the combination of Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc + Grand World is one of the most convenient and eventful full-day routes. You can combine animals, a good family outing, walks, beautiful photos, and evening entertainment without long transfers around the island.
